Firstly, looking at this magazine advert I am immediately drawn to the four panel images of the band members. The images of the band have been styled with a polaroid effect which gives the advert an old school theme which is what the band aim for which also suggests they are of a indie rock genre. This is then supported with the instruments the artists are holding as they are common instruments used in this genre of music.
In addition, text plays a important role too. The band name is displayed in clear bold capital white letters which stands out against the black background. This type font is consistent throughout the advert and works effectively. Also displayed on the advert title, is a review written by music magazine company NME. This attracts a bigger audience as it promotes the album through a famous well known music magazine company.
Furthermore, the rest of the advert is institutional information. Clearly displayed is record labels signed with the band. An example of one on the bottom is 'Island Records' which signed with Mumford and Sons throughout 2013. Finally, we are shown three big hits which are included in this album. This attracts the audience as the charts are familiar with their big hits.
To conclude, the advert is very simple and minimalistic. They did this because it makes it easier for the audience to remember, which makes it a effective way of advertising as it sticks in the auidences brain.
